This is a non-invasive and non-surgical fat reduction treatment designed to tackle areas of unwanted excess fat that diet and exercise alone have been unable to reduce.

The principle of cryolipolysis is to cool an area of fatty mass between -8 to -12ºC to create apoptosis, (the death) of fat cells, without surgery, liposuction, or injection.

Cryolipolysis treatment is ideal for the extra kilos that we cannot eliminate or the areas with cellulite that are very difficult to lose weight (saddle bags, love handles, belly, and between legs).

Cryolipolysis Examen

After a close examination, a diagnosis and treatment plan are established by Dr. Carolyn Carbasse, and before photos are taken. A protective gauze impregnated with gel will be placed on the area to be treated in order to protect the skin. The chosen applicators are then placed, followed by aspiration of the area, then the process begins and a feeling of coldness arrives.

The duration of the Cryolipolysis treatment varies from 40 to 50 minutes, from -8ºC to -12ºC depending on the case. At the end of the session, the treated areas are cold, hard, and reddish. Hot towels are then applied and a massage is performed for a few minutes to warm and soften the area. Sensitivity may persist on the area treated for a few days as well as redness.

Cryolipolysis is a very effective way of reducing fat. It does not work the same way as liposuction though. The process takes longer, about 60-90 days. After fat cells are broken down, it is still possible for them to come back.
